You can set under 'Account->Use Cookie Banner' that participants see a cookie banner first when they access the event website. The cookie banner displays an explanatory text and you can query whether only necessary cookies or optional cookies are placed.

Necessary cookies: yve sets so-called session cookies, which are technically necessary to identify the session. These cookies are removed after the session. yve only works with these cookies. Technically necessary cookies do not require the participant’s consent.

Optional cookies: if you use Google Maps, YouTube or Google Analytics, additional optional cookies are necessary and technical data such as IP address, browser and operating system are transmitted to Google. According to the GDPR, you must request the participant's consent for this.

The consent is then stored in a cookie. yve uses this cookie to recognize whether the participant has consented.

You can set the text of the cookie banner under 'Account->Cookie Banner Text'. The default text is a non-binding example, please ask your data protection officer which text you need.
